Sky Optics‘ OSFP112 DR+ transceiver is designed for 800 Gigabit Ethernet links over 2km single-mode fiber, offering extended reach beyond standard DR (500m). The module features 8 independent electrical channels operating at 106.25Gbps per channel (8x112G PAM4), delivering 800G bandwidth using the advanced 800GAUI-8 electrical interface (IEEE 802.3ck).

The transmitter incorporates a bidirectional PAM4 retimer ASIC with an 8-channel modulator driver and 8 EML lasers. On the receiver side, it uses 8 photodiodes and integrated TIA arrays. All eight channels operate at 1310nm center wavelength. The module uses dual MPO-12 APC connectors, each carrying 4 optical channels for flexible cabling.

With low power consumption (< 14.5W) and support for 2x400G or 8x100G breakout, this module is ideal for campus and metro data center interconnects requiring 2km reach.
